The Sri Lanka Biotope Aquarium:

Sri Lanka has an incredible bio-diversity invert wise. There are over 140 species of corals. Acropora, Pocillopora, Porites ,Favites, and Brain Corals make up the most of them. The Sri Lanka Biotope, if corals are to be included, needs lighting, water movement, water quality, and Calcium levels to all remain excellant.

Tangs: The schooling Convict Tangs are found here. The Highly aggressive Clown Tang and Powder Blue Tangs are from here as well. The Kole Tang would be a great choice as well from this area. Moorish Idols are related to Tangs, and abound in this area, but are very diffucult to maintain in captivity.

Moray Eels: The Giant Moray and Honeycomb Moray are found here

Squirrelfish: The Silverspot Squirrelfish, although not common in the hobby, and the related Soldierfish, which is found in the hobby.

Lionfish: The main one is the common Volitans Lionfish

Anthias: The ScaleFin Anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis)

Cardinalfish: The Ring-Tailed Cardinalfish (Apogon aureus) and the Tiger Cardinalfish

The Speckled Butterflyfish (Chaetodon citrinellus)
The Oval Butterflyfish (Chaetodon trifasciatus)

The Indian Vagabond Butterflyfish (Chaetodon decussatus)
The Longfin Bannerfish (Heniochuse acuminatus)

Angelfish: The common Imperator Angel is found here, along with some less common species like the Yellow-Tail Angel, Blue-Ringed Angel, and Semicircle Angel.

Damselfish: Three very common species in the trade occur here, the Sergeant Major Damselfish, the Domino Three-Spot Black Damselfish, and the Clarki Clownfish.

Hawkfish: The Aggressive Arc Eye Hawkfish, and the Pixy Hawkfish.

Wrasses: The Queen Coris Wrasse, and the Checkerboard Wrasse

Triggerfish: The common Undulated Triggerfish, and the Rectangular / Wedge-Tail Triggerfish
